It is with great sadness that we report the death of Alexander McCowan, a long-time friend and supporter of Cans For Kids, who passed away on 8th April, aged 81.
Alexander was a highly valued and longstanding member of our committee both as an ordinary member and as Treasurer, and his shrewd brain, insight and keen intellect often drew our attention to important details that might have an impact on the successful outcome of our work.
He was the exceedingly knowledgeable life and soul of our monthly quiz nights, always ready with a witty riposte or a joke when the occasion demanded.
He will be greatly missed by all of us. RIP Alexander.
