AKTI Project and Research Centre is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation established in 2000 by a group of experts in environmental issues to create an extensive network of collaborators and volunteers committed to raising environmental awareness and promoting sustainable development in Cyprus.
In Paphos, the organization’s Project Manager and networking expert, Anna Tselepou, has long been one of Cans for Kids’ most ardent supporters.
On a regular basis Anna visits schools to get children interested in the value and importance of recycling. She also specifically underlines the work of Cans for Kids, which combines environmental awareness and charity.
In one of her most recent initiatives Anna got a group of children at the Pefkios Georgiades Summer School involved in a challenge to see how many aluminium cans they could collect from their homes and friends. In only 10 days the children proudly returned with 320 cans that went straight to one of our many collection points in Paphos.
A big thank you to the children and especially to Anna for her tireless support in raising awareness among the next generation.
