It is with profound sadness that we report that our long time President, Olga Demetriades, has passed away.

   Olga became our President in 1996, and for 20 years led Cans For Kids. She gave unstintingly of her time, energy and love to help us build the charity from humble beginnings to a Pancyprian movement.

   She never shied away from pushing those in authority to do the right thing, cajoling government Ministers and civil servants to give their support to our efforts.
She opened her home and her heart for Cans For Kids, hosting receptions, presenting awards and encouraging our young volunteers. She thrived on our inclusiveness, welcoming youngsters of all nationalities to the Cans For Kids “family”. She loved to involve young people in civil society, treasuring their input, as we will forever treasure
