CANS FOR KIDS WINS ENERGY GLOBE FOR CYPRUS

The internationally renowned Austrian Energy Globe Foundation chose Cans For Kids as the winner of the Foundation’s national award for Cyprus.
Cans For Kids won a similar award two years ago for recycling, and this year has been recognised for encouraging volunteerism, in the Energy Globe’s Youth category.
“We are honoured to again be chosen for the Energy Globe award, and proud to have put Cyprus on the global environmental map” said Cans For Kids President, Olga Demetriades, at a reception hosted by the Austrian Ambassador, H.E. Kurt Mueller.

Cans for Kids Vice-President Rosie Charalambous said “The only thing you don’t get from volunteering is money. What you do get is self-respect and satisfaction, the chance to meet new people and feel that you are contributing – and it’s a valuable addition to your CV when you apply for jobs”.
