The Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment, Sofoklis Aletraris, was joined by the Austrian Ambassador to Nicosia, H.E. Martin Weiss, to congratulate Cans For Kids on receiving the 2011 Energy Globe National Award for Cyprus.

   Also handing over a cheque for 5,000 euro, Mr Aletraris pledged his Ministry’s support for the project, and welcomed the placement of Cans For Kids can banks at the Ministry and at the Department of the Environment.

   Mr Weiss expressed his pleasure that a Cypriot organisation had received recognition from the Energy Globe Foundation, which is based in Austria.
