Volunteers from Africa, Europe, the United States and Cyprus donned the gloves to help us clear the backlog of cans awaiting baling. They worked solidly for several hours and as the pile grew smaller everyone seemed to work faster! Many of them had travelled to the island specifically to help a local charity during their three-day visit, and since they finished the task earlier than expected they were able to use the rest of the afternoon looking around Nicosia. At their closing dinner that evening many said how fulfilling the experience had been, and that they had learned a lot about recycling. Thank you all, it was great meeting you!
Every single can sorted by World Venture volunteers!
