Cans for Kids donated medical equipment worth over €13,000 to the children’s ward at Makarios hospital, in memory of the charity’s long-standing president, Olga Demetriades.

Director General of the Ministry of Health, Christina Yiannaki, who was standing in for the Minister, accepted the donation.

We would like to thank everyone who made this donation happen, but especially the Demetriades family for their generosity in nominating Cans For Kids as the beneficiary of donations made at Mrs Demetriades’ funeral.

Despite the poignancy of today’s event, it is for days like this that Cans for Kids’ volunteers work so hard throughout the year and seeing the fruits of their labours translated into much needed medical equipment is reward in itself!
