We are very sad to announce the tragic and untimely death in April of Cans For Kids’ former President, Evie Lanitis.
Born in Limassol in 1950, Evie attended Greek primary school before continuing her secondary education in England. She graduated from Duke University in the USA with a degree in Sociology, and returned to Cyprus in 1973. She joined Lanitis Bros Limited and served on the Board as Commercial Director, a post she held until her retirement in 2006.
She was a member of the board of the Junior School for 3 years and was a keen environmentalist, gardener and photographer, as well as an accredited Qi Gung Instructor.
She brought a wealth of experience to her role as President of our charity, and continued to support us after she stepped down. She will be much missed.
