Who we are
These terms govern your use of the website cansforkids.org, operated by Cans For Kids, a registered charity in Cyprus (Charity No 187). By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
About the charity
Cans For Kids collects aluminium cans through collection points across Cyprus, recycles them, and uses the proceeds to buy medical equipment for public children's hospitals and support children in need. Since 1990 the charity has donated more than €350,000 to these causes.
Using the website
The website shares information about the charity, its work, collection points and events, and lets you contact us, donate and get involved. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to misuse it — for example by attempting to damage it, interfere with other users, or use it for fraudulent purposes.
Donations
Donations to Cans For Kids are voluntary gifts made by direct bank transfer to the charity's bank account (details on the Donate page). We do not process online payments on this website, and we do not collect or store card or bank account details.
Your donation supports the charity's purposes, mainly the purchase of medical equipment for children's hospitals.
A donation is a gift: no goods, services or other benefits are provided in return. Cans For Kids is a registered charity in the Republic of Cyprus (Charity No 187) and issues receipts for donations. Donations to the charity may qualify for tax relief under Cyprus law — please keep your receipt and contact us if you need a duplicate.
If you make an error in a transfer, contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help. Donations are generally not refundable once received, except where an error has occurred and we agree a refund is appropriate.
Volunteering and sponsorship
Information about volunteering, sponsorship and partnerships is on the Get Involved page. Volunteering with the charity does not create an employment relationship, and volunteers act under the charity's guidance. Sponsorship arrangements are agreed individually between the sponsor and the charity.
Can Bank Locator
The Can Bank Locator shows aluminium can collection points across Cyprus. Information is provided in good faith and may change as points open, close or move. We try to keep it accurate but do not guarantee it is always up to date — please check before travelling.
Content and intellectual property
All content on this website — text, logos, images and videos — belongs to Cans For Kids or is used with permission, including images of children, which we use only with the consent of their families.
You may share our content for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution to Cans For Kids. You may not use our content commercially, or in a way that suggests endorsement, without our written permission.
Your submissions
If you send us stories, photos or suggestions through our contact forms, you confirm you have the right to share them and you give the charity permission to use them for its charitable purposes. We will always ask before publishing any personal story or photo publicly, and we will credit you where appropriate.
External links
Our site links to external websites, for example Google Maps, YouTube and sponsors' websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites.

We make the website available in good faith, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or complete. Nothing on this website is intended as professional, medical, financial or legal advice.
